Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant

Summary

Acreage Animal Clinic is a family-owned and operated business which has been serving the Loxahatchee and Greater Acreage community for over 20 years. We continually strive to provide the highest quality care for each patient. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art chemical analysis equipment, as well digital radiography drastically improving prognosis accuracy and turnaround time. We are currently looking to hire a responsible, customer-oriented Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant. Professional animal care experience is a must. Technical skills are a plus, but our focus is to build a positive and professional work environment that puts our clients first. On the job training will be provided.


Responsibility

  • Perform administrative duties such as greeting clients, creating appointments, updating files, processing transactions, and follow-up patient phone calls.

  • Educate clients about animal health, adverse conditions, and proper care.

  • Provide animal care (feeding, bathing, walking) and ensure facility cleanliness.

  • Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment and exam/operating rooms.

  • Handling animals, assisting Vet with clinical procedures and providing post-op animal care.

  • Upload and manage social media content, maintain consistent community outreach.


Skills Required

  • Excellence in people skills and customer service.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), and Veterinary Software (Neo, AVImark, IntraVet, etc.) preferred.

  • Experienced with social media, email and scanning
